My passion and desire to be a doula stems from my own personal experience of giving birth. My first birthing experience did not go as planned and I made a decision the second time to educate myself about all of my options and chose to have a VBAC at home. After, that empowering experience, I decided to pursue this amazing career to be able to educate other women to let them know that they have options and choices, even though they may feel like they don't. To be able to empower other women to have the gentle birth experience that they choose to have; one that is free of fear, doubts, and negativity. I have gotten lucky and so far have had many different birth experiences, all of which have been wonderful! I have experience in both home births, birth center births, and the hospital, and with both the bradley method, HypnoBirthing, and hypnobabies. I am currently a DONA Certified Doula and had the honor of successfully completing an amazing internship at Southcoast Midwifery. I am a HypnoBirthing Educator and I am part of the wonderful program for Operation Special Delivery, which helps support women whose husbands are currently deployed and/or veteran families in need!
